Akronymet kommer fra den engelske Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment.<\/p>\n<p>De <strong>RoHS-forskrifter<\/strong> s\u00f8ker \u00e5 forhindre risikoen som h\u00e5ndtering av elektrisk og elektronisk avfall kan inneb\u00e6re for menneskers helse og milj\u00f8et, derfor begrenser den bruken av visse farlige stoffer som kan erstattes av sikrere alternativer. Disse begrensede stoffene inkluderer tungmetaller, flammehemmere eller myknere.<\/p>\n<p>Alle produkter p\u00e5 EU-markedet m\u00e5 overholde kravene <strong>RoHS-forskrifter<\/strong> etter at den tr\u00e5dte i kraft 1. juli 2006. Ethvert selskap som selger direkte gjeldende elektroniske produkter, underenheter eller komponenter til europeiske land, eller som selger til forhandlere, distribut\u00f8rer eller integratorer som igjen selger produkter til EU-land, m\u00e5 da overholde<strong> RoHS-forskrifter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stoffene som reguleres av <strong>RoHS-forskrifter<\/strong> De er bly, kvikks\u00f8lv, kadmium, seksverdig krom, polybromerte bifenyler, polybromerte difenyletere og fire forskjellige ftalater. \u00c5rsaken til dette forbudet er at disse materialene er sv\u00e6rt milj\u00f8farlige, forurenser deponier og utgj\u00f8r en risiko med tanke p\u00e5 yrkeseksponering under produksjon og resirkulering.<\/p>\n<p>For \u00e5 verifisere samsvar med <strong>RoHS-forskrifter<\/strong> B\u00e6rbare RoHS-analysatorer, ogs\u00e5 kjent som r\u00f8ntgenfluorescens- eller XRF-metallanalysatorer, brukes. Prosessen inkluderer gjennomgang av dokumentasjon (materialeliste, monteringstegninger, materialerkl\u00e6ringer for hver komponent og produkt, testrapporter og samsvarssertifikater), revisjon som involverer alle produksjonsprosesser, testing p\u00e5 stedet for \u00e5 verifisere verdiene til stoffer regulert av <strong>RoHS-forskrifter<\/strong> og, etter \u00e5 ha fullf\u00f8rt alle trinnene, levering av et sertifikat.<\/p>\n<p>Ethvert selskap som selger aktuelle elektriske eller elektroniske produkter, utstyr, underenheter, kabler, komponenter eller reservedeler direkte til RoHS-styrte land, eller som selger til forhandlere, distribut\u00f8rer eller integratorer som igjen selger produkter til disse landene, vil bli oppf\u00f8rt. \u00e5 overholde <strong>RoHS-forskrifter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Enkelte produkter og applikasjoner er for tiden unntatt fra samsvar med <strong>RoHS-forskrifter.<\/strong> Disse unntakene dekker generelt ulike typer milit\u00e6rt, industrielt, vitenskapelig, fornybar energi og medisinsk utstyr.
