De adapters hebben een buitendraad en een binnendraad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De mannelijke schroefdraad van een matcher komt overeen met een ander type schroefdraad dan vereist voor aansluiting op de installatie van de apparatuur. De matcher zorgt voor de binnendraad die nodig is om de apparatuur aan te sluiten en de elektrische bedrading te beschermen, en om twee soorten schroefdraad met elkaar te verbinden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Een matcher werkt met zowel binnen- als buitenschroefdraad van verschillende typen, zoals PG-aansluitschroefdraad of metrische schroefdraad.<br>De matchers zijn gemaakt van metaal, met name vernikkeld messing.
