Het verloopstuk is een metalen stuk dat bestaat uit een buitendraad en een binnendraad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bij verloopstukken komt de buitendraad overeen met een grotere maat dan vereist is voor aansluiting op de installatie van de apparatuur. Het verloopstuk is aan het andere uiteinde voorzien van een kleinere binnendraad, waardoor het aansluiten van de componenten mogelijk is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De verloopstukken hebben zowel binnen- als buitenschroefdraad van hetzelfde type, zoals PG-aansluitschroefdraad of metrische schroefdraad. Dit onderscheidt ze van adapters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De verloopstukken zijn gemaakt van metaal, met name vernikkeld messing.
