Naval and Marine Sector

For electrical installations on maritime vessels, oil platforms or offshore wind farms, all of them share special working conditions and require safety protocols and special equipment.

At Fleximat we have a wide range of cable glands and accessories designed for marine installations. We have cable glands made of nickel-plated brass and stainless steel that adapt to the needs of each project.

We can point out several characteristics and points to take into account to decide the appropriate material, be they the location of the equipment (exterior or interior), the working atmosphere (ATEX Zones of different degrees), the continuous working temperature of the equipment, as well as the dimensions of the device or junction box or the same protection index (IP).

All cable gland models intended for marine environments comply with international ROHS, CE and Gost certifications. In addition, several of our models are designed following the English regulations BS6121.

In most marine environments Fleximat recommends and installs stainless steel cable glands, which have superior chemical resistance to all other cable glands.

Stainless steel cable glands are available in AISI303 AND AISI 316L.

The design of the marine cable glands is robust and resistant, giving the cable glands an excellent level of waterproofing and protecting against corrosion in the marine environment.

Marine industrial cable glands can be used both in installations with unarmored cables and in installations with armored cables, and depending on the model, they offer single or double compression.

All types of cable gland accessories in nickel-plated brass and stainless steel are also available. Consult our catalog to learn more about our products for marine applications.
